SkyWest Airlines Revenues Increase
SkyWest Airlines of St. George reported a 39.9 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for November, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 32.6 percent compared with the same period last year. The airline generated 380.5 million RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 532.7 million. Load factor increased 3.7 percentage points to 71.4 percent compared with 67.7 percent for the same period last year. Passenger boardings for November totaled 964,897, a 34.7 percent increase over November 2002.
Utah State Bar, LegalMatch Sign Agreement
The Utah State Bar has signed an agreement to replace its traditional lawyer referral operation with LegalMatch's online matching service effective Jan. 1. San Francisco-based LegalMatch connects consumers to attorneys when they register and anonymously post their cases on a Web site. Cases are organized by legal category, and consumers can view background information on prospective attorneys. Lawyers within their geographic area view the cases and reply with price quotes upon their interest in providing counsel.
Rubicon Medical Moves
Rubicon Medical Corp., which has nearly quadrupled its work force to about 30 in the past year, has moved its offices to 3598 W. 1820 South, Salt Lake City. The medical device maker's new facility is 31,500 square feet and houses two clean rooms -- a 5,000-square-foot main production clean room and a 1,250 square foot research and development clean room. Rubicon previously occupied 13,343 square feet with a 1,000-square-foot clean room.
