I'm very satisfied with how LegalMatch works with the technology. I'm not that tech savvy and we still work on landline phones. Now, we work in an office to get clients that just come through on your phone with a full portal of information about who they are, what their case is about, and where they live, if they put that information in. It comes on your phone and email. You can quickly log in on your mobile app and reply with a message to set up an appointment with the client. All there in your hands, within 30 seconds. It's easy for me to keep track of who's coming in that way and the most leads I get are from LegalMatch by far.
I get the most by responding immediately or as best I can. Potential clients are looking and searching online. If they don't see what they like, they're going to click again or click again or call somebody else. So, by responding as quickly as you can, knowing or giving that potential client who you are, you can maximize the benefit of LegalMatch.
Do the best you can to respond. Be proactive, set up the appointment, respond to the client and follow up. Not only do I set up an appointment, but I always call anyway. Even if the client wants a phone call a day or two later at a particular time, I'll still follow up with a phone call or an email just to confirm or just let the client know that I've got your response and here I am. If you are committed to responding, whether it's an email or a text message, then it'll work for you.
Listen to your clients. Follow up, call them back. Giving them good and honest advice. A fair number of clients understand that's not always going to work out that way, but if you tell them all along how it's going to work out, and if you're doing it long enough, you probably know how it's going to work out. Then they're not surprised and frustrated at the end. They're not unhappy because whether they like it or not, they've been given information all along. That kind of sets the tone as to how the case may work out. And I think they're satisfied with that. They're happy to hear that you gave them honest advice as the case played out.
You're going to get clients, but not all the time are you going to make money from them. Probably give more grounded expectations of your business as to how it's going to proceed. Don't get too high. Don't get too low. Just try to be more even-keeled every day, every week. And it will work out.
You have to be much more level headed on dealing with a case that may not work out the way you want. As long as you did the best job you could. Sometimes a court or a judgment may have a different opinion and you may still be right, but you just have to recognize that you can only control so much of what you do. A lot of it is in the hands of somebody else. You have to better prepare yourself for those ups and downs, I think it makes your weeks or months, your years go smoother, easier.
