For new attorneys or those thinking about a LegalMatch membership, the first thing I would say is that the return on investment is almost immediate and continuous...
The LegalMatch system is really easy. You get a notification when you get a lead, then you go look at the lead and read through what potential clients wrote. If you don’t want the case or if it’s not something you’re interested in, you just archive it. It gives you phone numbers and email addresses. It’s just a very user-friendly system that prompts you to be proactive in following up on the leads.
I’ve signed several clients from LegalMatch and outside of that, I’ve had two of those clients send me clients. As far as lead generation is concerned, it has been fabulous. It’s also given me the confidence to reach out and follow up on leads that I may receive elsewhere, as well. It has given me the practice and comfort level that I was lacking when I first came out on my own.
For new attorneys or those thinking about a LegalMatch membership, the first thing I would say is that the return on investment is almost immediate and continuous as long as you continue to follow up on the leads.
The second thing is that if you think you can’t afford it, then you’re just looking for money rather than looking for clients. LegalMatch is very well researched by the people that are looking for legal help.
For those with a new membership, my tip is to constantly follow up. The templates I’ve set up include domestic battery and DUI, and there’s another one for general criminal. I found that I use my general criminal template the most, because it covers a broader range and it includes DUI and domestic violence concerns.
What I like about the system is that you have a template to start from and you can modify it based on the information that you’re provided previously. Then, you can also schedule meetings right from the interface or you can call or email directly on the same interface. It’s just very friendly. There’s no reason not to follow up on those leads.
It’s been interesting during this COVID time. Criminal law always has its ebbs and flows. When the coronavirus first hit, we all took a hit trying to figure out what was going on.
The nice thing about LegalMatch is that you don’t have to have people coming into your office to have a consultation. You can continue doing your work through the interface, through emails, and through phone calls. The leads still came. If you were waiting on word of mouth referrals, clients are not able to get to you as easily. In this COVID time, LegalMatch continues to provide leads.
I may have up and down months, but LegalMatch has pretty consistently given me two to three solid leads every couple of weeks.
Ease of use and ease of follow up are the two best things about the LegalMatch system. I’ve tried other lead generating systems, and the thing I like about LegalMatch is you’re not charged per lead, you’re charged per month. As you get the leads, it’s up to you how diligent you’re going to be on those.
If you archive one lead, you won’t be trying to chase the money back for giving it back, you’re just trying to follow up with the leads you get. It just is a much better lead generating system where you’re consistently following up with your clients. You’re spending more time trying to follow up with your clients than you are trying to follow up with the company. You spend more time with a client than the company, that’s another thing I like about it.
Cash upfront from my membership is probably close to seven or eight thousand. The rest is in receivables per month, but then those receivables will pay off in the next month.
I’ve really enjoyed LegalMatch. My Account Manager reached out to me several times to make sure things are going well.
LegalMatch works for you as well as you work the system. It provides the system for you and it’s up to you whether you’re going to work it or not. For those months when I don’t have the energy to work it, leads just come and go. But when I work the LegalMatch system, it brings money into my business.
