A good number of referrals from LegalMatch do turn into clients because that's what my practice right now is based on. 90% of our clients come from leads generated by LegalMatch.
I'm a new attorney licensed in DC. I didn't go to a DC law school, so I didn't have a catalog of business connections, relationships, or a network at all. The leads that LegalMatch generated are my lifeline just because I'm new to the area. LegalMatch allows me to reach clients without having any resource connections.
The good thing about LegalMatch is that I didn't have to do a lot of changing or make a lot of adjustments during the pandemic period. My office was ready to go virtual and remote from the onset. With LegalMatch, client flow began to accelerate. The volume increased a little, because more people were shifting to asking legal questions and looking for advice online because of the pandemic. It just allowed us to continue to stay the course, continue to serve clients and also get in touch with those clients.
I like the fact that I can quickly respond or send a reply to a client often within seconds of them making a post on the LegalMatch platform. It's a good way to build rapport with your clients. I really enjoy the fast response feature that allows you to reach out and let a potential client know that you have their issue at hand, or are aware of their issue and that you are trying to reach out to them to help try to solve that issue.
I get leads daily from LegalMatch. There may be some leads that aren't compatible with my practice, but generally there's at least one lead a day that we're able to at least schedule an appointment for and begin the process to help analyze a person's legal needs.

I've only used LegalMatch, so I’m not sure how other platforms move or operate, but I do know that I would get more consistent leads and I'm able to set up appointments in a more consistent fashion with LegalMatch as compared to my Facebook advertising or Google advertising.
I respond as quickly as I can if I see that the potential client can benefit from something that we offer from our wheelhouse. There's nothing greater than the ability to reply to them in seconds, or in a few minutes.
The way LegalMatch works is that I'm able to have a client’s contact information and that client sees mine. We're able to instantly start talking within five minutes after posting in LegalMatch. It is very refreshing to clients and it helps the attorney build relationships with potential clients.
For attorneys new to LegalMatch, I would say definitely talk to the LegalMatch representatives. Let them know about you. Be honest about your budget. Just be upfront with them. Agree on something that works for your office.
Take a strong look at LegalMatch when looking for referral services, because I've had such great success with it being a solo practitioner and not knowing anyone in my area. So, if you're in that situation, you don't know anyone in a market that you find yourself in, LegalMatch is a great resource. Young attorneys should definitely leverage that to help get them leads and referrals through LegalMatch and start getting them the clients they want when starting up as a new solo or small firm.
If you are going into something new, whether it's a new location or a new legal area, a new practice area in a new state, you’d be in a new system, a new firm, and you need to get clients and don't know where to go, LegalMatch is a great resource. Whether you’re a new or seasoned attorney, if you find yourself in a new situation and needs to get clients, LegalMatch is a great tool for that.
