The LegalMatch lead generating system is the only one I have, and the only one I trust and respect for what it does.
LegalMatch provides a steady stream of clients who are seeking representation. That's very important. I find that the difference with LegalMatch is, first of all, there really isn't any spam to deal with, which I found in other services I've used in the past.
LegalMatch genuinely does connect clients or potential clients with attorneys who specialize in the area that they want. Not every client actually has an actual location, but they want representation. And I think that’s the first hurdle, but it's one of the main hurdles -- finding clients that actually do want representation. LegalMatch facilitates that excellently.
There are two ways that LegalMatch is helping in the pandemic. The first, obvious way is that clients are trying to or continue to seek representation. While you may think that the pandemic would cause all sorts of unemployment and changes on the federal level, it really hasn’t. We’re still dealing within the arena we dealt with before. Oftentimes, clients who have been fired as a result of the pandemic, maybe they don’t have an actionable case, but they have continued to come through the door during the pandemic.
There’s actually a second way LegalMatch provides help. The staff at Legalmatch have reached out to me very regularly. I had a great conversation right in the middle of last year. I do remember that time that me and a representative from LegalMatch sat down, and the representative spoke to me for an hour about ways that we could pivot and ways that I could use Legalmatch to harness a new client base. The representative was essentially reflecting how business was going in the pandemic and I just think that support is fantastic.
The intake is genuinely what I like the best about my LegalMatch membership because first of all, having information in front of you is good for figuring out whether the client even has something that may be actionable. That’s huge -- to be able to just have a quick rundown on a case. It actually gives you less work to do when you do talk to the client, because that intake form that LegalMatch puts forward, or the intake that the client answers, stays with the case the entire way.
I would say one in four leads who post their case have something I can do for them. My strike rate will have very high retention. If I reach out to one in four leads, more often than not, it ends up being a client.
The LegalMatch lead generating system is the only one I have, and the only one I trust and respect for what it does. I was told before, “Oh, you have to have an online presence.” Which I believe is true. In that context, I didn't like the prior service I was using and wanted to cancel it. And the representative said, “Well, you should keep a little bit of it there as an online presence.” Didn’t work for me.
With LegalMatch, I pay a monthly subscription and I get clients and it's as primary as that. I think it's fantastic. You get intakes. Not only do you always get real human beings and no spam, you get individuals that need representation and you get their contact information directly. They get notified when you match with them. I know because they call the office and I get to speak to them. So, I can't speak highly enough of LegalMatch in comparison to other services I've used.
I found the trick to the trade was to set up a Google voice and to text the client or send it. Emailing, really, is on my end. I'm sending it from a keyboard, but it's going to go to their phone through Google voice. In my work, clients have mostly just been terminated. They may not even have a laptop anymore. With the above process, I can get straight to their phones. I can send them an introductory text that is friendly and familiar. They can text me back and they can feel like they're texting with their attorney. But you can't run a law firm on SMS text messages solely. So, it's good that those texts come to me as emails and we run it that way.
That was a tip that a LegalMatch representative gave me when we were talking about how to improve or how to build on the success I'd already seen with LegalMatch. And that was to bring in something like Google voice and to be able to text them. I can't speak highly enough of how much of an improvement that is. And I would recommend that to anybody.
As with any service you pay for, you hope at least to get some success out of your dollar. Whether you pay a dollar or a thousand dollars, you're looking for something in return. With LegalMatch, you will not waste money and get back what you put in. LegalMatch does everything they can to get the client to your door. You're going to have to work to get them signed up, but you're certainly going to get people at your door.
LegalMatch kept their word. They've been keeping their word. When I signed up and I was to have a weekly check-in with a representative. The representative checked in every single week and we had great chats and we became phone friendly; I was passed on to an account manager who called me every month. They've kept their end of the bargain and that's really all you can ask for. It's refreshing.
