Following a five-month investigation, Pearson was charged with one count of false pretenses, as well as possession of a firearm by a felon. The charges amounted to over $20,000. The investigation began after several customers complained that they were being billed for work on their cars that was never done. They also complained about the sub-par quality of parts being installed and faulty engine repair. Pearson had previously been convicted of issuing false insurance certificates. Roseville detectives have instructed the community to report further instances of fraud to local authorities.
